The  Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC)   has turned down the N27,000 new National Minimum Wage adopted by the  National Council of State  on Tuesday. The General Secretary of the congress,  Dr Peter Ozo-Eson , made the mind of the congress known to the press ) on Tuesday in Abuja. The congress stated that since the Tripartite Committee has submitted its initial report, the council has no power to override the amount initially agreed upon. “It is abysmal of government to be delaying the submission of an Executive Bill to the National Assembly and by wrongfully adopting N27,000 through the council of states,” he said.  An emergency meeting has been called by the congress to deliberate on the deadline the congress gave to the federal government to submit the executive bill on the matter to the legislative. Two Soldiers Killed During Anti-Banditry Operation In Zamafara State Troops Recover Weapons From Zamfara Bandits In the ongoing war against bandits operation in  Zamfara State , two soldiers of the Nigerian Army have lost their lives. The troops also captured one of the bandits alive. Confirming the operation, Maj.  Clement Abiade , the Acting Force Information Officer of the ongoing Operation Sharan Daji,  said two soldiers and two members of a vigilance group were also killed in the encounter. Abiade said eight other soldiers and six other vigilance group members sustained various degrees of gunshot injuries. According to him, troops also rescued 75 people taken captives by the bandits after destroying 18 of their camps in the state.
