The  Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC)   has turned down the N27,000 new National Minimum Wage adopted by the  National Council of State  on Tuesday. The General Secretary of the congress,  Dr Peter Ozo-Eson , made the mind of the congress known to the press ) on Tuesday in Abuja. The congress stated that since the Tripartite Committee has submitted its initial report, the council has no power to override the amount initially agreed upon. “It is abysmal of government to be delaying the submission of an Executive Bill to the National Assembly and by wrongfully adopting N27,000 through the council of states,” he said.  An emergency meeting has been called by the congress to deliberate on the deadline the congress gave to the federal government to submit the executive bill on the matter to the legislative. INEC Rejects Ezekwesili’s Withdrawal From Presidential Race The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has said that the withdrawal of the presidential candidate of the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria, ACPN, Oby Ezekwesili from the presidential race is unacceptable. In a statement by the electoral commission on Thursday,it said 17th November, 2018 was the last day for any candidate to withdraw or be replaced in the Presidential and National Assembly Elections. The statement which was signed by Rotimi Oyekanmi, chief press secretary to the INEC chairman, reads thus: “ It is impossible for any presidential candidate to withdraw from the race now. Two Soldiers Killed During Anti-Banditry Operation In Zamafara State Troops Recover Weapons From Zamfara Bandits In the ongoing war against bandits operation in  Zamfara State , two soldiers of the Nigerian Army have lost their lives. The troops also captured one of the bandits alive. Confirming the operation, Maj.  Clement Abiade , the Acting Force Information Officer of the ongoing Operation Sharan Daji,  said two soldiers and two members of a vigilance group were also killed in the encounter. Abiade said eight other soldiers and six other vigilance group members sustained various degrees of gunshot injuries. According to him, troops also rescued 75 people taken captives by the bandits after destroying 18 of their camps in the state.
